Day 2
SO, I have moved to Texas. It's for school -- the University of, in Austin, where for now I am an elementary education major (that will change). Before Texas I lived for just eighteen years in Richcaucasianville, Illinois, and then for two years went to Small Pretentious Artistic Eastern College. I am here, in Texas, as a human experiment! The question is: Can I get the same kind of education at Texas that I could at SMPAC for half the price and twice the quality of life? So far, I'd say yes, and although I haven't started classes yet, I have a spacious beige apartment, digital cable, and a miniature George Foreman grill. I feel blessed. No friends to speak of yet, however, save the UPS delivery man. Everyone in Texas is nice though, so I'm not stressin'. Anyway, this blog is my secret senior project. It will be excruciatingly detailed within an anthropological scope. This, my friends, is an American Enthnography of College Culture. Coming soon:
Will Leah be able to navigate the maze of university systems to change her major to American Studies?
Will Leah call her apartment manager to get the sink water running?
Will Leah find the real student gym and not have to lift weights with the University of Texas football team again?
i wish i could italicize those
